GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) apply to schools and require them to handle personal data responsibly. This includes collecting and storing data securely, and being transparent about how data is used.

The school’s leadership team is responsible for making sure the school’s data protection activities meet its requirements. The team ensures that everyone else knows how to handle personal data, which means the school has policies and procedures that anyone can follow and lead a culture of data privacy. At least one member of the leadership team has more specialised training on the GDPR.

The data protection officer (DPO) is responsible for checking that the school is handling data properly and advising on how to do so. They need can advise on both data protection law and how the school uses personal data. The School's appointed DPO is Judicium Education and the names DPO at school is Anna Jassim, School Business Manager.

The School has policies and procedures in place, covering school's data protection:

  • Data Protection Policy
  • FoI Policy
  • Data Breach Policy
  • Data Retention Policy
  • Acceptable Use Agreement
  • IT Safety/Security Policy

All school GDRP policies are reviewed on a regular basis.
